Black Box

Black box are a record company pushing the progressive electronic music scene forward month by month, they have a considerable amount of producers signed and are constantly putting new talent to light with their promotional mix CD's and merchandise. This (below) is a T-Shirt I received from an order a while back, and it wasn't until we started this brief that I really appreciated what it was they're doing. On top of promoting artists, they have a line of clothing that has a very strong visual style, appropriately relating back to the electronic nature of their brand, with the aforementioned clothing, promotional CD's are sent alongside garments to promote the artists that they currently have on board - a really nice way to keep the 2 elements of the brand interlinked, but also to get the artists their desired exposure.

This method of distribution would be a factor we could look at, we initially wanted to look at a clothing line to re-enforce our advertising/brand exposure, and for a CD of artists closely associated with our practise to be sent out with products could only go down well, particularly if we're looking to base ourselves projecting to the music industry.
