Group questions

We had a really interesting session today with John and Jane looking at 'why are we here' in second year, (our aims and goals throughout the year). It was mostly intriguing to discuss eveybody else's opinions on what we, as designers, want and need form the course this year, and then for John and Jane to really identify and specify what was important and that we already practice alot of what we communily wrote down.

Other than what we wanted from the course this year, we had a group discussion into our worries and thoughts about the professional world outside of the studio. Worries about work experience, self promotion, professional terminoligy, networking and so on were all issues discussed. Thinkinag about 10 things that are worrying about the professional industry was further worrying when it came to writing them down and looking back over them, however, John and Jane made it quite clear that this course is tailored for a smooth transition into industry and again we already practice alot of the worrying issues raised.
It was a very worthwhile session in terms of putting us in a positive mindset for entering into and applying for professional work placements.
